Building Strong Catholic Families There are many people, events, and activities, that are competing for our time.
Children also feel the pressure of many things competing for their time. Jesus clearly states in the gospel that HE and nothing else should be first place in our life. This does not mean that all those things competing for our time are bad. When Jesus is #1 in our life and family, everything else falls into its proper place. What place does Jesus have in your life and in the life of your family?

2022-2023 Faith Formation Year

Sacramental Preparation: 1st Penance/Communion & Confirmation

Students who hope to receive the sacraments of 1st Penance/Communion in 2nd grade should be enrolled in 1st
grade faith formation or in a Catholic School. Students who are in 2nd grade this year or older who are ready to
begin their journey of preparation to receive these sacraments are invited to join us this year! A parent
orientation to 1s Penance/Communion is this Wednesday, September 7th, 6:00pm at St. Francis Church.
Registration will take place at the orientation.
Confirmation preparation usually begins in 8th grade and is a two-year program. A confirmation orientation
for parents and student who are ready to begin their journey of preparation for the sacrament will be
Monday September 12th 6:30pm at St. Francis Church. We are fortunate to be able to offer two locations
for classes. Registration and all information will be given at the orientation.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

Has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic?
Has a child over the age of seven who has not been baptized?
Was baptized Catholic as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist?
We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith. Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season. There are separate sessions for children or youth. You are welcome to participate in the process with your questions, your insights and your faith story in a warm accepting setting.
